In the UK, our separate accounts offer tailored portfolio strategies to acquire and actively manage attractive assets with positive long-term risk-return prospects in the UK.

Michael Ness is the Head of UK for CBRE Global Investors and the Managing Director of UK Separate Accounts. He leads the team responsible for the investment management of all the discretionary and advisory separate account mandates, held by CBRE Global Investors.
Mr. Ness joined CBRE in October 1997, gaining experience in the Investment Consulting department, with responsibility for investment appraisal and feasibility for pension schemes. He was recruited to join CBRE Global Investors in October 1999. Prior to this, he worked at Edward Symmons & Partners between 1995 and 1997.
Mr. Ness has worked on a number of separate account mandates since joining CBRE Global Investors gaining in excess of 16 years experience managing a wide range of property portfolios. He has built up a first class track record for building and restructuring portfolios. He now leads both the UK business and the Separate Accounts Group, this team being responsible for AUM of circa £8bn.
He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and he is a member of the Investment Property Forum. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management from University of the West of England.

Paul is a Senior Director at CBRE Global Investors and leads a team within the UK Separate Accounts Group which is responsible for four UK pension fund clients.
Paul serves on the UK Management Board. He is a member of the UK Investment Committee, Portfolio Oversight Committee and Risk Management Committee.
Since joining CBRE Global Investors in September 2004, Paul has undertaken numerous investment purchases and sales, whilst overseeing high value asset management initiatives on behalf of his clients. Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, he worked at Investment Property Databank (IPD) as a Portfolio Performance Analyst and within the Asset Management team at CBRE. Paul joined the real estate industry in 2001.
Paul is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. In June 2007 he obtained the Investment Management Certificate from UKSIP (Society of Investment Professionals) and is approved under Section 59 of the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 to undertake regulated activities. Paul graduated from the University of Nottingham in July 2001 with a BA (Hons) degree in Geography and completed a post graduate diploma in Estate Management from London Southbank University.

Richard is a Senior Director and Portfolio Manager with CBRE Global Investors. Richard is the Senior Fund Manager for the CBRE UK Long Income Fund and also has responsibility for managing two pension schemes, together with two insurance mandates, totalling around £1bn in AUM. Until recently, Richard was the Senior Fund Manager of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme, prior to its merger with the CBRE UK Property Fund. Richard leads a team of 8 people and sits on the UK Executive Committee. He is also a member of the UK Investment Committee, responsible for approving significant purchases, sales and capital expenditure.
Richard has approximately 16 years industry experience. He joined the firm’s graduate training scheme in 2001, having previously worked at EC Harris. Within CBRE Global Investors, Richard has been involved in the property fund management of a number of the firm’s segregated account pension fund and insurance company clients, gaining a wide breadth of experience. Between 2007 and 2010, Richard played a key part in the restructuring of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme. This involved devising and implementing asset management initiatives to improve performance, strategic sales and identifying new opportunities to invest capital. More recently, Richard played a central part in the merger of ESPS with CBRE UKPF and had overall responsibility for approximately £200m of property sales. Since 2010, Richard has been centrally involved in winning 3 new start up separate account mandates, with a combined objective of investing approximately £800m. As a consequence, Richard has a strong market focus and has transacted in the region of 120 properties over this period. Richard is FCA approved.
Richard is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Richard is also FCA approved under section 59 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 to undertake regulated activities, having obtained the Investment Management Certificate in 2004. Richard graduated from the University of Manchester in June 2000 with a BA (Hons) degree in Geography and also holds a diploma in Estate Management from London South Bank University.
Hannah is the Head of Funds and the Fund Manager for the CBRE UK Property PAIF. In this role, Hannah is responsible for setting the fund strategy, liaising with investors and coordinating other team members to implement the strategy. Hannah also oversees two separate accounts. In her previous role, she was Head of European Portfolio Management within the CBRE Global Investment Partners team, responsible for managing 13 separate accounts and a European Fund of Funds.
Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors in 2006, Hannah worked at OPC in the multi-manager team covering both the UK and continental European markets. She joined the real estate industry in 2002.
Hannah is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is approved by the FCA to undertake Regulated Activities, having completed the Investment Management Certificate. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol and holds a Masters of Art in Real Estate Investment and Finance from Reading University.
Bob is the Chief Financial Officer for the UK for CBRE Global Investors and is responsible for all financial matters concerning the management of the UK business and clients’ property investments. He sits on the company’s Portfolio Oversight Committee, Risk Committee and the Board of the regulated entity for the UK direct business.
Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors in May 2006, Bob worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers London where he was a manager specialising in the audit and financial reporting of real estate funds and listed property companies. Bob joined the real estate industry in 2000 and has had extensive experience of the valuation and management of unitised funds, and has an excellent knowledge of UK and International GAAP and reporting requirements of pension fund, insurance and pooled fund clients. He was previously Head of Client Accounting for the UK.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and obtained a BA (Hons) Modern History from Oxford University.
