Global Head of Human Resources Appointed for CBRE’s Real Estate Investment Businesses

​LOS ANGELES – Oct. 4, 2016 – Kristy Thompson has been appointed Global Head of Human Resources for CBRE’s real estate investment businesses: CBRE Global Investors and Trammell Crow Company. In this newly created U.S.-based global role, Thompson will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the HR strategy – including resourcing, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and operations. Thompson has also been appointed to serve as a member of the CBRE Global Investors Global Leadership Team.
Thompson joined CBRE in 2008 as a Human Resources Manager for the Western Region of the CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) line of business. She most recently has been serving as Director overseeing the HR initiatives for the Western region of GWS, which encompasses more than 40 client accounts and more than 3,000 employees. With almost 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Thompson previously served in HR roles in the home goods and hospitality industries.
Thompson is a graduate of Washington State University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in hospitality management. She also has earned a Professional in Human Resources certification.
Thompson will report to Jennifer Ashley, Global Head of HR for CBRE, and in a matrix structure to Danny Queenan, Group COO for CBRE’s real estate investment businesses.
“In creating this role, we wanted to promote greater consistency across CBRE’s real estate investment businesses,” Queenan said. “With her skillset and background, Kristy will help us cultivate that consistency through HR initiatives at Global Investors and TCC, and we look forward to her leadership and contributions.”
