CBRE Global Investors Appoints Senior Executive to Lead Australian Funds Management Initiative

​SYDNEY – September 2, 2014 – CBRE Global Investors has appointed Andrew Glass as Managing Director, Australia, to lead all aspects of the firm’s direct investment program, which will target key domestic markets and support the investment strategies of the global funds management business. The appointment is in line with CBRE Global Investors’ strategy to grow its Asia Pacific investment management capability and service global institutional investors seeking exposure to direct real estate investments within the region.
 
During his 25 years in the commercial real estate sector, Glass has held senior positions across the private and public markets as an investor, a fund manager and a service provider.  Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Glass was head of the unlisted platform for co-mingled funds at Charter Hall Group. In an earlier role as Senior Vice President for GIC Real Estate in Singapore, Glass was responsible for the group’s investment program into Australia and Korea. Glass has also worked for Macquarie Bank Group as both a REIT equity analyst and in a real estate lending capacity.
 
Glass holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of New South Wales and has most recently served as a member of the Unlisted Funds Roundtable sub-committee operated by the Property Council of Australia.
