Vance Maddocks, who joined CBRE in 1984, is the founder and architect of the Strategic Partners U.S. program, the firm’s value added and opportunistic fund series with 7 funds closed since 2000. Under the direction of Mr. Maddocks, the Strategic Partners U.S. program has completed transactions totaling more than $11.0 billion.*
Mr. Maddocks is a member of the Global Executive and Global Investment Committees of CBRE Global Investors.
In 2007 Mr. Maddocks assumed the role of CEO of CBRE Global Investors in addition to his role as President of Strategic Partners U.S. During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Maddocks enhanced the firm's global corporate governance, risk management and investment practices creating greater consistency and discipline in decision making. In 2007 he created the CBRE Global Investors Global Green Initiative, which has led more than 70 properties worldwide to be certified based on local sustainability standards. In 2010 Mr. Maddocks transitioned back from two leadership roles to one, stepping down as CEO to fully focus his attention on his role as President of Strategic Partners U.S.
Mr. Maddocks has 29 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has been active in all phases of the investment process including equity capital raising, mortgage origination and structuring, joint venture structuring, leasing and dispositions. He is a three-time recipient of the CBRE Chairman’s Award for Leadership. In 2006, he received the company’s highest honor for his distinguished service and deal making capability, the Edward S. Gordon Award. He is the second CBRE recipient of this prestigious award in the history of the company.
Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Mr. Maddocks spent four years in the Appraisal Services Group of CBRE, Inc. beginning as a Real Estate Analyst coordinating the valuations of commercial real estate properties nationwide. In addition, he was formerly a Senior Accountant with KPMG.
Mr. Maddocks received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from California State University at Northridge.
