Chief Investment Officer
Ian Gleeson is Chief Investment Officer of CBRE Global Investment Partners, the independent real estate division of CBRE Global Investors that focuses exclusively on investments with operating partners/managers .Based in London, Mr. Gleeson has overall responsibility for managing the CBRE Global Investment Partners investment process, formulating top down strategies and overseeing client investment plans. He is a member of the CBRE Global Investment Partners Management Committee and Investment Committee and chairs the CBRE Global Investment Partners Global Investment Team meetings.
Mr. Gleeson has been in the real estate industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience investing in real estate funds in Europe, North America and Asia, across the full risk spectrum. He took up his current role in August 2008 from Morley Fund Management where he was Head of International Property Multi-Manager, with responsibility for global mandates. Prior to that he served as Head of Property at the National Pensions Reserve Fund of Ireland. Before taking up that position, Mr. Gleeson was Director of Property Investment Strategy and Indirect Property at F&C Management Ltd.
Mr. Gleeson holds a Masters in Economics and Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin. He is a former member of the INREV (European Association for Unlisted Real Estate Funds) Management Board and chair of the Investor Forum of INREV.
